Keelmen’s Hospital Community event
Join us at St. Mary’s on the 12th of March 2025 to meet the design team behind the plans for the restoration of Keelmen’s Hospital. Keelmen’s was an eighteenth-century almshouse built for keelmen who worked transporting coal on small ships on the Tyne. This is a free community event to share a behind the scenes look at the planned works to revive this fascinating building, tickets are free but there will be the option to donate and support the Trust’s work on this building and other historic sites in the region by becoming a member.
