Night Market by Candlelight 12/12

It’s time for our last night market and graveyard tours of the year!

Join our expert guide for a 45 minute special winter edition of the St Mary’s graveyard tour. From the resting place of a woman convicted of witchcraft in 1649, to plague outbreaks and a recycled headstone, this tour covers Gateshead’s lesser known spooky past. For our December tour, we’ll also be talking about winter traditions of centuries past and spirits believed to haunt the North East at this time of year.

The Luna Night Market presents a Christmas Night Market by Candlelight, enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping on the high street, slow down and connect in this beautiful historic building on Gateshead Quayside.

Wander candlelit stalls of curiosities, enjoy some pizza, sip a hot chocolate or a mulled wine and let the haunting live violin music guide you through the aisles. You can even book onto a guided tour of the graveyard and find out the secrets and stories of St Marys.

This intimate event is limited in numbers with timeslots to create a calm, relaxed shopping experience that you can enjoy at your own pace.

The market opens at 5pm and tours are at 5, 6 and 7 lasting 45 minutes each.
