    As dusk settles and the last light fades through stained glass a new kind of market stirs. Within sacred stone and vaulted arches candles flicker and shadows dance. Soft strings echo through the air weaving music in every corner. This is not a hurried market this is a feeling, one that invites wonder and reflection, take in the beauty of your surroundings, engage with local creatives, shop mindfully. Night Markets by Candlelight welcome those who are drawn to creativity and calm. £2 (plus small booking fee) pre purchased tickets. Hourly timeslots to ensure a quiet calm shopping experience. Please don’t worry if you running late.     Meet the design team behind the plans for the restoration of Keelmen’s Hospital, an eighteenth-century almshouse built for keelmen who worked transporting coal on small ships on the Tyne. This is a free community event to share a behind the scenes look at the planned works to revive this fascinating building, tickets are free but there will be the option to support the Trust’s work on this building and other historic sites in the region by becoming a member.
