Tyne + Wear Building Preservation Trust are looking for a dynamic part-time Event Manager to orchestrate events and activities and provide a warm and inclusive welcome for all at St Mary’s Heritage Centre in Gateshead.
Tyne + Wear Building Preservation Trust, established in 1979, rescues and reforms buildings of historic significance, breathing new life into our region’s rich heritage. St Mary’s Heritage Centre stands proudly on the Gateshead bank of the Tyne alongside the Glasshouse and Baltic and is part of Gateshead’s up and coming cultural hub known as the Railway Quarter. St Mary’s is an iconic venue, with exciting potential for a variety of events and activities. Job Title: Event Manager
Hours: Average 22.5 hours per week (with potential to increase), which
will include weekend and evening work
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 per annum FTE pro rata £16,800
Location: St Mary’s Heritage Centre, Gateshead

This role encompasses event planning and managing, from promotion, marketing and generating new hire opportunities through to the planning and delivery of events. Co-ordinating and supporting third parties, along with running our own events, you will manage bookings, event set ups, catering, audio visual needs, space layout, and other details to provide a seamless service and positive experience. Plus ensuring all health and safety at the venue is in place so people can enjoy their time here. You will also provide support and direction to our growing band of volunteers at St Marys who will support you in some areas of this role.
